Ekiti Young Professionals Appreciates Fayemi for Sincerity of Purpose

Friday, October 26, 2018

The Ekiti Young professionals appreciates the sincerity of purpose of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi in signing an order for the immediate revocation of all mandatory levies in primary and secondary schools in Ekiti state.
At EYPG, we believe that this singular act will relieve parents off the burden of tuition and ancillary fees whilst reordering the psychological orientation of students towards education. It will most importantly go a long way in the development of Ekiti's children who remain the leaders of tomorrow.
The clear vision behind the gesture was captured in the words of the governor when he said "Towards improving human development capital of our state and providing full access to quality education for our children and younger generation - we revoked the existing levies imposed on primary and secondary schools in Ekiti state."
To show his unwavering determination to restoring the lost values in the education sector the governor also approved the sum of 200 million naira as car and housing loans for Ekiti state teachers out of the meager resources at the disposal of the state as at present. The governor reiterated his commitment to clearing the backlog of salaries owed by the previous administration.
Dr. John Kayode Fayemi is displaying uncommon leadership as against cheap showmanship, sincere leadership after all is about service and total service at it's best.
The EYPG will support whatever it is that will liberate and advance Ekiti's development and hence hope for more daring efforts from this new, hopeful, positively progressive and energetic administration even in the faces of present realities and even more daunting circumstances left behind by the last administration.
We once again reiterate our call for the support of all Ekitis for this administration so as to collectively restore the core values of Ekiti state.
Thank you Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, God bless you and God bless Ekiti state.
